What kind of car for 1 on 1 race on small oval track?
I looking to buy a car for under $3000 that I can race at Langley Speedway. It is a paved short track measuring 0.395 miles in length. The track is one of the flattest tracks in the region with only 6 degrees of banking in the corners and 4 degrees on the straights. The rules are 1. Street Legal: Car registration, plates and inspection stickers must be legal and valid. 2 - Must have a working exhaust
3. - Must have DOT tires. One on One races are double elimination races consisting of 1 lap around track against another competitor. The top speed was under 80mph last year. I was thinking along the lines of something like a Mk1 VW Rabbit GTI. What do you think?
BTW I have a 2007 Solstice GXP I just don't want to risk hurting it.
find a good old 240sx or a lumina ltz z34
